Success for Bayern Munich fans - Club Nr.12 one of our partner associations in the Eurofans project have had a major success with European ticketing. Originally Bayern fans were told that no tickets would be made available for their Champions League game in Rotterdam due to the home fans hooliganism problems. After an organised protest at the Super Cup and representations by Club Nr.12, Bayern fans have now been told tickets will be made available.

The guaranteed availability of away European tickets and the right to travel independently are two of the main aims of the Euofans project.

United Colours of Football (3) fanzine and National Anti-Racist Week

ILSA has been asked to pass on this message:
I am writing to give you advance notice of the National Anti-Racist Week (in football), which will take place from 11 October to the 21 October 2001 - an eleven day 'week' due to the new TV arrangements, so enabling all clubs to have the opportunity to include activities at a home game. It also falls within Black History Month.

Activities will take place at football clubs, amongst fans, community groups, schools and youth groups. Why not organize some activities through your fanzine, with your ISA, supporter's trust, or at your club? You could, for example:

- Help distribute a new United Colours of Football 3 fanzine outside your local club
- Produce your own anti-racist leaflet,
- Get involved in running community activities, for example, a 5-a-side competition,
- Make an anti-racist statement inside a stadium such as holding up placards or messages at a match.
- Display the History of Black Footballers Exhibition during the week (free of charge)

A 'Community Chest¹ of £400 has been set aside to be offered to 30 groups of fans, community groups or schools who wish to organise their own activities locally. To apply simply e-mail an outline of your idea to Kick It Out at info@kickitout.org.

'Football Unites, Racism Divides' (FURD) is helping to produce the latest 'United Colours of Football' (3) fanzine, and we are currently inviting contributions, in particular from individual fans and fanzines. It could be a new piece of writing or something that has appeared in a fanzine in the past 12 months. If you have anything, then please e-mail FURD resources worker Ruth Johnson on ruth@furd.org. Please obtain the agreement from the authors of any contributions which you may submit.

Regards
Howard Holmes
Project Co-ordinator, FURD

Boavista are a club based in Porto and the capacity of their ground is only 11,000. The game may be switched to a larger stadium. Last season they became the first side in 55 years outside of the big three of Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon to win the Portuguese league.

Dortmund of course use the magnificent Westfalenstadion as their home ground, scene of our UEFA Cup triumph over Alaves - get your flights booked early. Dortmund are currently top of the Bundesliga after spending heavily in the summer.

LFC almost announce loyalty scheme .... Liverpool have started collecting names and addresses from fans buying tickets for Bolton away. An addendum to the ticket info on the official website suggested this information was needed for an intended loyalty scheme next season. Questions have already arisen from fans with Ticket Office staff only taking the names of those buying the tickets on multiple purchases - the question is should we buy our away tickets on an individual basis? The info has since disappeared from the LFC website.
