In the absence of any news from LFC here's a rough interpretation of the ticket news on the Real Madrid site:

Real Madrid are selling tickets by two methods - by their usual telephone sales from 22nd July 12pm until 11am on the day of each match.

Ticket offices sales: 30th, 31st of July and 1st of August: from 3pm to 9pm in Central Ticket offices

2nd and 3rd of August: from 2pm until 3 hours before the beginning of each days events (remember there will be celebrations as well as matches) in the central ticket offices, and then from that from 3 hours before the celebrations until the start of the festivities in the outer ticket offices (around the stadium).

4th August: from 12pm to 3:45pm in the central ticket offices (in town) and then from 3:45pm to 9:30pm in the outer ticket offices at the stadium.

Remember that games take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August with LFC playing on the 2nd and 4th. Also as it's Madrid's centenary celebrations other events will occur pre-match.

A lot of interesting news from the monthly meeting of the Merseyside Branch of the Official Supporters Club last week. Ged Poynton (stadium manager) was the guest speaker and in summary he had this to say:

It was confirmed that the estimated waiting list for Season Tickets is 13 years.

This season all season ticket holders will no longer be allowed to present just their voucher for a league match. In future they will be required to present their whole season ticket book for inspection at the turnstile to ensure that the correct seat is utilised by the valid holder. This proposal when introduced will be mandatory.

Last season over 10,000 counterfeit vouchers and tickets were identified.

The Priority Ticket Scheme was introduced as a second tier behind season ticket holders. A maximum of 10,000 members would have access to 5,000 tickets for home league matches prior to general sale issue as for the last two seasons.

The main advantage of the scheme has been that members have to pre-register with their personal details, only one ticket being allocated per card holder. The system allows for a complete history to be retained on computer of every attendance made and seat occupied.

Plans for the future either initially at the existing stadium but definitely at the new stadium is to extend this system for all matches home and away to every fan. Season ticket holders may be allocated a swipe card system for access. It was accepted that such a system necessitating all fans to pre-register and be issued with a card would cause other problems, so no firm decision has been made as yet.

The main advantage of the system in providing a 'fan card' is a complete computerised record of attendance's is available, which would allow for an effective loyalty scheme to be introduced for away and cup matches, each 'fan card' incorporating a unique reference number.

Thanks go to Phil once more for all his effort and frantic note-taking!

A reminder for the RAWK/HJC programme auction which the organiser John Mac has informed us is now live:

Last year we set up a programme auction for Hillsborough Justice Campaign which was very successful and raised £850.00.

Over the next couple of months Anne Williams will be making her
submission to the attorney general to have the inquest into the death of her son Kevin re-examined. Further details of Anne's case can be found at http://www.contrast.org/hillsborough/annescase.shtm.

As well as this, there are other courses of action ongoing and campaigns being wagered in the name of Justice. The campaign is very short of funds, and these will be necessary to raise awareness of the campaign as well as meet the ongoing costs of the fight, in the months ahead.

In order to try to raise funds we will again be holding an auction in
support of HJC. The first items of memorabilia and programmes are now posted and we will be open to add more over the next couple of weeks.

The auction site is now on line at:

http://www.redandwhitekop.net/auction/browse.php?id=1

Registration is required but is very simple just fill out a form and a
confirmation email will be sent for activation.

I would like to thank the following people for their kind donations:

Jamie (YPC); Osty; Sam Nyrie; Nigel Ogden; Iain Devine; Jonathan Hall, Mark Pierce and Liverlady. And also Ben for setting up the site.

Please feel free to contact me with any queries/items to donate at:

Progs_for_hjc@hotmail.com

Thanks again for your continued support

John McCormick
