As you may have recently heard the FA has announced that FA Cup semi-finals for the next 30 years are to be held at the new Wembley Stadium upon completion. This has been explained as a financial necessity to cover the ludicrous cost of the new ground. Once again a major decision has been announced after no consultation with the fans. Why should we have to travel hundreds of miles, with the large travel costs associated even before the no doubt high ticket prices, when we could easily be playing a Northern or Midlands team in a local stadium more suited to the needs of both sets of fans?

A campaign site has been launched to gather signatures against this decision and we at ILSA would urge everyone to sign the petition at the Semi Concious site. You can also email the relevant bodies to complain:

Travel problems next Sunday for the Palace cup tie. We've been informed that Selhurst B.R. station will be closed next Sunday as part of ongoing bridge works and fans should head for Norwood Junction which is a short walk from the ground. As a result of the train problems the roads around Selhurst are a nightmare at the moment and it has been suggested that parking close to the ground might not be the wisest idea. Palace fans have suggested driving to either Anerley or Penge West. Penge West is two stops on the line to Norwood Junction and has plentiful parking.
