30/5/03
According to the FC Koln website, Liverpool will be playing a friendly at the RheinEnergieStadion on July 16th at 8.15pm. This will replace the proposed friendly against Hamburg which would have clashed with a German League Cup tie. The Cologne match would celebrate the opening of the newly rebuilt/refurnished stadium in time for the new season (looking at the photos on the website there are still cranes everywhere!).

The new conditions for sale for season ticket holders (including the changes to cup games, premier league away games and cup finals) have been published on the official site here>>

29/5/03
Today marks the 18th anniversary of the Heysel disaster. 39 fans (38 Italians and 1 Belgian) died at the 1985 European Cup Final in Brussels. May 29th remains a day of remembrance for both Juventus and Liverpool supporters.

28/5/03
Liverpool have confirmed that they will play Aberdeen at Pittodrie as part of the Scottish club's centenary celebrations. The tentative date for the game is Tuesday August 5th.

27/5/03
The full fixtures for the 2003-4 Premiership season will be released on Thursday, June 19th.

26/5/03
Not a lot happening - still no definitive news on the China tour (though the Sunday papers were suggesting we may tour South Africa instead), or on Hamburg (we may play Cologne as an alternative or Hamburg may rearrange their league cup game). A friendly away to Crewe has been arranged for July 19th.

ILSA will be taking in some summer sun for a week. The 24 hour LFC ticket information line number is 0870 444 4949 if you want to check on any early friendly ticket news. In our absence we recommend these websites as the best sources of news about LFC:

16/5/03
Another change in conditions for ST holders next season. Prioirity for only the FIRST home game in any cup competition will exist (rather than all rounds), after that tickets will be awarded on a loyalty basis i.e. priority will be given to supporters who have attended fixtures from a previous round or rounds of the relevant competition, irrespective of them being a season ticket holder.

15/5/03
Barcelona will visit Anfield for a pre-season friendly on August 9th. No ticket details yet.

14/5/03
Season ticket renewals have started to arrive. The prices are:

Main/Centenary Stand before 18 June: £495 (£540 after)
Annie road: £475 (£520)
Kop: £445 (£490)

With respect to away games, a priority system for tickets will be enforced next season based on how many away games you attended in the 2002-2003 season. Also priority for tickets for some away games next season (we assume the Mancs and Everton) will be dependent on games attended in 2003-2004.

14/5/03
New away kit. Pictures are now available on the Liverpool Echo site. It's due out on June 5th.

13/5/03
The proposed friendly with Hamburg on July 16th may be cancelled due to Hamburg now having a League Cup game on that night. More information when we get it.

12/5/03
The club is still monitoring the SARS situation in China - a final decision on the tour is expected in the next couple of weeks.

9/5/03
Amsterdam tournament details - it's been announced that Liverpool will take on Ajax and Galatasaray in this summer's Amsterdam tournament. The Reds will kick off with a match against holders Ajax on August 1st and will then face Galatasaray two days later in the Amsterdam Arena.

The team at the top of the group after all sides have played two games will be crowned the winners. The full programme of fixtures is as follows:

Friday 1st August

7pm: Inter Milan v Galatasaray
9.15pm: Ajax v Liverpool

Sunday 3rd August

6.30pm: Liverpool v Galatasaray
8.45pm: Ajax v Inter Milan

Liverpool FC have not yet received ticket allocation details for this competition.

9/5/03
We've had it confirmed that from next season only postal and phone aplications for PTS tickets can be made.

8/5/03
New away shirt - the official website is releasing sneak previews of portions of the new away kit through the week. It looks as described by us on 30/4 - a rejected Endland home kit!

7/5/03
PTS renewals have started to drop through doors this morning. Renewal price is £42 which is an approximate 10% rise. According to the letter UK renewals should be in by 15th May. The telephone number for renewals is 08707 020207.

The terms and conditions suggest that applications can only be made by post or phone next season - we'll try and check this. There's also no mention of the number of members and the number of tickets but we've checked this and have been told by the club that it will remain at a ratio of 10,000 members and 5,000 tickets.

4/5/03
Latest news on the China tour - Rick Parry has spoken on the likelihood if the tour going ahead in light of the SARS crisis:

"Obviously we are concerned about the problems that the SARS outbreak has caused and we're monitoring the situation daily. We're not rushing into making a decision but we'll have to make one by the middle of May because we need some certainty. We are clearly not going to do anything that will put any of the players at risk.

"We're due to be going to Hong Kong and China and at the moment I would say the likelihood of going to China is very, very remote. The chances of the outbreak being contained by July are unlikely and the chances of even having proper information about the situation in China by July are unlikely.

"It's too big a risk and we are thinking about alternatives. In the next two or three weeks we'll make up our minds."
