LFC have issued advice to fans travelling to Saturday's game at Manchester
United. They are urging Reds to arrive early following increased security
checks at Old Trafford.
"In light of the present security climate, extra security will
be in place before the Manchester United game. Public safety is paramount
and an additional police cordon will perform a more thorough inspection
process of all fans and this is likely to increase the time it takes
to gain entry.
"In order to keep any delay to a minimum it would be appreciated
by the police if fans do not arrive at the ground with bags, hold-alls
or flasks as these will all need to be searched thoroughly. Fans without
tickets should not attempt to travel to the game as they will not gain
entry to Old Trafford."

15TH HILLSBOROUGH MEMORIAL SERVICE
Thursday, 15th April 2004 will be the 15th anniversary of the disaster
in Sheffield that cost the lives of 96 fellow supporters. The Hillsborough

mark the occasion and remember those who died.
The service will be inter-denominational and take place on the Kop.
Doors will open at 2pm and the families will take their seats at 2.30pm.
As in previous years the service is expected to be well attended and
therefore request you allow plenty of time to get here and take seats
no later than 2.20pm.
The service will start at 2.45pm and conclude at approximately 3.30pm.
As the Hillsborough Family Support Group call the names of each individual
a candle will be lit in their memory. We will observe a minute's silence
at 3.06pm and end the service with the singing of You'll Never Walk
Alone.

Two more games have been switched at the behest of Sky. Liverpool v
Middlesbrough has been moved back a day to Sunday, 2nd May (4:05 pm).
Birmingham City v Liverpool is a pay per view fixture and thus has a
later kick off time on Saturday 8th May (5:35 pm).

We contacted the Premier League last week to try and find out why the
Arsenal game was rearranged with an early kick off despite not being
on TV/there being any history of problems between the fans (the date
itself was changed to ease Arsenal's fixture congestion). We obviously
emphasised the problems associated with bank holiday travel at such
an early hour. We have now received a reply:
Dear ILSA
Thank you for your email regarding the Arsenal v. Liverpool fixture.
Having spoken to our Fixtures Department I can confirm that the
reason why this fixture has been scheduled for 12.30pm (changed from
12.00pm on 1st April) was due to a request made by the police. Before
confirming the date of this fixture
the police liased with the churches in the vicinity of Highbury and
they expressed a preference for the match to kick off at 12.30pm.
Please accept the FA Premier League's apologies for any disruptions
caused due to the fixture rescheduling over the Easter period.
Kind regards
Joanne Revell
